The Classification of Hair
Hair is one kind of light industry, and hair industry is divided into hair weft, toupee, wig, synthetic, etc.
1. by ingredient: human hair, synthetic hair, mixed hair.
2. By material: Synthetic hair and human hair. Synthetic hair is made by synthetic, looks not real, will make people feel itchy after wearing, might stimulate the scale easily. But it is cheap, and keep the style well. Human hair is made by human hair, looks real, not easy to tangle, can be curled, ironed and dyed, easy to change the style, but it is expensive, and the style can’t be kept well.
3. By size: hair weft and wig. Wigs can be wore directly. Hair weft can be customized by different demand, and made into different size and different styles, looks real, breathable.
4. By making ways: machine made and hand tied. Machine made hair is made by machine and made in bulk, price is cheaper. Hand tied hair is handmade, price is higher.
5. By purpose: cosplay wigs, party wigs, etc.
6. By length: long hair and short hair.

Easy, beautiful holiday hair: The twist
You know what no one told me when I had girls? With all their
warnings and knowing looks and opinions on whether girls or boys were
harder to raise…no one warned me about doing their hair.
I should have known this anyway. After all, I am a girl. But although I can knit really well and sew a tiny bit and I’ve made LEGO minifig and Minecraft Halloween costumes out of nothing but a box…I can’t do hair. Not mine, not anyone else’s. I make a mean ponytail and that’s about it.
So I’ll be sharing a few simple holiday hairstyles over the next week or so. Little girl hairdos so easy, even I can do them.
This twist doesn’t take long at all, but it looks really good when you’re finished. Good enough that I demanded a do-over of my brother’s wedding, so I could redo the flower girls’ hair. I thought I was being totally reasonable.
When you do this style, don’t skip the curling at the end. Curling little girls’ hair is that one extra step that just makes it look finished and special and festive.
Step 1: Starting with well-brushed hair that’s free of tangles (I know…that might be the most challenging part!), part in the middle. Beginning at one side, near the temple, start to twist hair toward the back of the head, adding in more hair as you go.
Step 2: When you reach the back of the head, where the part is, secure that half of the hair with bobby pins, and repeat the process on the other side.
Step 3: Hold both sides in place with bobby pins. Hairspray to hold, and add more hairspray to the ends of hair before curling.
Step 4: Curl. To make ringlets, hold the curling iron straight up and down and curl sideways. When hair is curled, slide the curling iron straight down and out the bottom, leaving ringlets. You can leave the ringlets untouched, or fluff with your fingers to loosen a little. Add more hairspray to hold.
Step 5: When the hair is arranged the way you like it, add a festive holiday hair clip (these are great because they also hide bobby pins, or small mistakes you may have made) and you’re done!
A few tips on working with squirmy little girls:
-get all your supplies together ahead of time. Make sure the curling iron is already heated. You don’t want to stop halfway through, order her not to move, and go hunting for bobby pins or a hairbrush.
-have something for your daughter to do while you’re doing her hair (that’s my girl, playing “Sorry!” above with Grandma). If she’s distracted, she’s less likely to move around, and less likely to notice if you accidentally tug her hair when you’re brushing it. Let her play games on your phone for a few minutes, or read, or draw.
-practice beforehand. If you have an event where you know you want to try a new hairstyle, don’t wait until 20 minutes before you leave to try it for the first time. Do a run-through the day before. Besides, I’m pretty sure kids sense when we’re racing to leave on-time — mine always know exactly when to throw a fit and refuse to put on their shoes and the last thing I want is to do their hair then, too.

THE HAIR WE WEAR STORY BY TRACY
This month we asked our customer Tracy to share her story with us.
Tell us a little about yourself:
I was born in New York City, but I grew up in Mississippi. I moved to Colorado with my mom, and that is where I met my husband who was in the Air Force. I’m a mother of 5—4 daughters and a son who died when he was 28 hours old. I’m married to my very best friend who is amazing! He is so supportive, and I know he is truly crazy about me because that is how he makes me feel. We owned a book store for 5 years--until a couple of years ago. I’ve home schooled all of our daughters since 1994. I had my last two babies at home with a midwife. In the past 18 months, I started weight training again after some years of not, and lost 89 pounds!
How long have you been wearing Jon Renau wigs for?
I’ve been wearing Jon Renau hair for about a year now.
What do you love about our brand?
I love how natural and realistic Jon Renau hair looks. I love that it is so easily customizable. That is really important to me because I make each piece fit me. I love how well it holds up. I have traveled multiple times with my JR pieces!
What advice would you give to a new wig wearer?
Like so many women I’ve met lately, I have a couple of medical conditions that contributed to hair thinning. After losing weight, the hair loss just accelerated, and I was devastated! I feel that it is much less acceptable for women to lose hair than it is for men. I never realized just how much self-confidence was tied to my hair until I started losing it. I was terrified to wear a wig at first. I just knew that the first time I went out in one, people were going to point and snicker. Surprise! They didn’t. Not only did they not, but I got so many compliments on how pretty my hair looked. People don’t notice things as much as we think they do. My hair was shoulder length, but I started wearing longer hair. People actually asked me if I had gotten my hair cut!
I mostly stuck with reddish colors until someone sent me a blonde wig to try. I loved the blonde too, so now I switch up the two colors depending on my mood. I was very much not open about wig-wearing for quite a while, but then I decided, 1.) If I’m going to have to wear helper hair, then I’m going to have fun with it by changing colors and styles, 2.) maybe I can help other women become confident with wearing hair if they see how much fun I have with it. I don’t shout it from the rooftops, but those who see me on a regular basis now know. Most of the guys are still clueless. One friend recently told me he just thought I did stuff to my hair a lot and thought it was cool. J My girlfriends are all very supportive and love to see what I am going to be wearing. I would love to try Zara and Courtney one day. Wearing hair has literally taken 15 years off the way I look, and combined with the weight loss, I feel pretty again!
